Reducing CRF environmental impact even more – Going Biodegradable

Haifa is leading an R&D project to develop new biodegradable coatings for its CRF products. These fertilizers reduce environmental pollution by preventing residual chemicals from contaminating soil and water. Haifa aims to replace the current polymer coating with a biodegradable alternative in line with future regulations.

CO₂ is a byproduct of fertilizer production, making carbon capture and storage (CCS) significant. In 2023, Haifa conducted research on new industrial applications for CO₂, focusing on agriculture. Haifa's goal is to identify more methods to achieve a circular economy process for CO₂.
