The field trial in Brazil demonstrated the benefits of soybean foliar feeding using Haifa Bonus - both economically and technically
To prove the effectiveness of Haifa Bonus in preventing burn of soybean, Haifa South America ran a field trial together with Fundação Rio Verde in Mato Grosso.
The trial intended to prove the economical and technical effectiveness of Haifa Bonus foliar spraying on soybean. The dosages used were 5Kg/ha (usual) and 10Kg/ha (to induce burning), Haifa Bonus formula 13-02-44 (Potassium Nitrate + MAP + Additive) and the NKS formula 12-00-45+1,2S (Potassium Sulfate + Potassium Nitrate). The spraying was done at R.3 stage and the results are shown in the tables and graphs at the bottom of the post.
Besides the good result of Haifa Bonus 10Kg, it is important to point out that at this dosage the addition of other products will probably lead to burning. Comparing Haifa Bonus 10Kg with NKS 10Kg, the difference of 162Kg between them has come probably due to burning on NKS treatment.
This difference shows clearly the Bonus additive effect and benefit. Treatment Bonus 5Kg shows the benefit of a usual dosage at a safe range. Looking at the economic analysis presented in the table below we can observe a net benefit to the growers for all treatments.
It is important to note that there is a positive relation between the increasing of the dosage of K and yield and net profit.
